Benjiman "Benji" Daniel Schwimmer was born January 18, 1984 in Newport Beach, CA. Four years later his sister Lacey-Mae entered the world on June 28. They grew up in a Mormon (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints) household in Moreno Valley, California. They are the children of "King of Swing" Buddy Schwimmer, who is famed in the West Coast Swing world, and Laurie Kauffman who is also a West Coast Swing dancer. They started dancing competitively at an early age. You might say it's in the blood. Both have won many titles and awards in the world of swing, although they are most noted for performing on seperate seasons of the FOX series So You Think You Can Dance. Benji won the show during season 2, while Lacey became a top 4 finalist during season 3. Benji, Lacey, and Donyelle Jones (Benji's original partner on the show) are the only contestants from seasons one, two, and three to never be in the bottom 2 couples or bottom 4 dancers!
